What the FDA will do with your application

After management receives your application:

• The FDA will keep your identity private.
• The FDA will add your application to the database, so that organizations can see if other people have handled the same problem.
• The FDA will use this information to determine whether this product or similar products pose a threat to public health.

The FDA cannot take action immediately after each application is received, but the department checks the availability of all applications to determine if there is a need to protect public health.
