Major US airlines are massively delaying flights due to crashes in the flight system

The US Federal Aviation Administration reported that on April 1, US airlines suffered briefly from interruptions in the work of the Aerodata aerodata planning and balancing system.

The problem affected several major airlines, including Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, United Airlines and Alaska Air Group, writes CNBC.

Reporting problems along with several major US carriers, Southwest stated that technical difficulties have already been resolved and systems will soon be restored. Earlier, the airline noted that flights are delayed, and the aircraft that have already been sent to the runways, return to the gate (it was a question of the 40-minute forced stop work).

“Isolated flight delays are expected and customers should check Southwest.com for specific flight information,” airline officials wrote on the morning of April 1.

Delta Airlines, which on April 1 reported a crash in the system as a whole, confirmed that the data is again available and flights continue to operate normally, no cancellation is planned for this reason.

United Airlines tweeted that due to a system failure, the airline could not handle paper documentation.

American Airlines reported that the interruptions affected regional carriers across the country, but soon added that the problems with Aerodata had been resolved.

Alaska Air Group Inc also stated that it is experiencing interruptions in the entire system.

Most carriers wrote about problems in their social media accounts.

Last week, several airlines reported problems after technical problems with the Saber system, which is used to book and print tickets. Saber representatives said they had nothing to do with software, problems with which were revealed on April 1.
