Нефтяная компания ExxonMobil, чей гендиректор Рекс Тиллерсон номинирован избранным президентом США Дональдом Трампом на должность государственного секретаря США, лоббировала против принятия Конгрессом закона №5094 «О поддержке стабильности и демократии в Украине» (STAND for Ukraine Act).

Нынешний глава ExxonMobil Рекс Тиллерсон, которого Трамп номинировал на пост государственного секретаря, лично присутствовал в 2011 году на подписании договора с «Роснефтью».
Напомним, что 22 сентября 2016 года Палата представителей Конгресса США одобрила закон «О поддержке стабильности и демократии в Украине», который, кроме вопроса санкций, регулирует поставки летального оборонительного оружия Киеву.
The bill must now be approved by the Senate and signed by the US president.
