The Chinese with a bad “social rating” will no longer be allowed on planes and trains

Beginning in May 2018, citizens of China who have a low rating in the experimental system of “social credit rating” (social credit) may be deprived of the opportunity to buy tickets for airplanes and trains for a year.

This decision was made by the National Development and Reform Commission of the Middle Kingdom, reports TJ.

According to the principles of the “social rating” system, restrictions primarily apply to people who provided false information about terrorism, created problems on flights, used expired tickets, or were caught smoking in trains.

Chinese system of "social rating" based on such criteriaas criminal behavior or financial fraud of citizens, but also takes into account the behavior of people in public places, their public statements and purchases. Based on this, the Chinese are assigned estimates that affect their capabilities. Those who received a low rating, faced with restrictions and fines.

Currently action systems extends to just 7 million people, but by 2020, the Chinese government plans to deploy it to the whole country. Human rights organizations count them.that the "social rating" limits the freedom of citizens and is a very non-transparent way to regulate the rights of the Chinese.
