As a child, sending your photo to a friend can be covered by the article.
Police arrested two students of Bonne Ecole elementary school in the city of Slidell for exchanging nude photos.
Officials believe that the student took a nude photo and sent it to her student, who in turn shared it in Snapchat with most other students, according to law enforcement.
School officials saw these photos on the phone of one of the students and immediately reported the incident to the police.
Officials said that the girl and the boy were arrested, after which they were released and transferred to their parents.
“Most kids don’t know, but sending nude photos is a crime in itself,” said Slidell Police Chief Randy Fundal. “Parents need to have a frank conversation with their children about the seriousness and long-term consequences of storing and sending nude photos.”
