Seven Warhol paintings with soup cans were stolen from a museum in Missouri

Неизвестные похитили из музея в американском городе Спрингфилд, штат Миссисипи, семь картин американского художника Энди Уорхола, на которых изображены банки с супом «Кэмпбелл».

Как сообщает ФБР, кража была совершена еще 7 апреля. Ее обстоятельства ведомство не уточняет. Известно только, что все семь украденных полотен входят в цикл из десяти картин, посвященных супу «Кэмпбелл».

The FBI offers a reward of 25 thousand dollars for information about stolen works. The cost of the stolen paintings in the message is not given, but it is known that the entire cycle of ten paintings is estimated at about half a million dollars.

Картины с изображением разного количества банок консервированного супа «Кэмпбэлл» были одними из тех работ Уорхола, что принесли ему всемирную славу. Он написал их в 1962 году.
