One-year-old child died in the time of Florence because he could not hold his mother by the hand

The one-year-old Kayden Lee-Welch from Charlotte, North Carolina, became the third child to die as a result of Hurricane Florence, two more kids died as a result of the fall of wind-fallen trees on their homes.

Lee-Welch died due to the fact that his mother could not hold the baby by the hand on the flooded street water, writes The Sun.

The water carried mother Lee-Welch's car off the road and the vehicle was stuck in a group of trees. the woman tried to drive along a closed section of the road, but this turned out to be impossible.

Desia Lee was able to get her son out of the car, but in the stream of water she could not hold the boy by the hand and he was carried off by the elements.

“I was holding his hand, trying to hold him, trying to pull him towards me, but I didn’t have enough strength, and he let go of my hand,” the woman said.

She called him "the sweetest boy."

Another child, whose life was claimed by Hurricane Florence, was a three-month Cad Jill, who died as a result of a tree falling on her family’s mobile home. Parents of the baby received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Lisha Murphy-Johnson and her 8-month-old son were the first to be killed in a hurricane.

Murphy Johnson, her husband Zach, and their son were in bed on September 14 morning, when a massive tree fell on their home in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Because of the destruction, the mother and child died, and the boy’s father was trapped, from which the rescuers released him for several hours.

In total, as of September evening 20 hurricane florence, which hit the east coast of the United States on September 14, killed 41 people: 31 in North Carolina, eight in South Carolina and two in Virginia.
