When Kevin Hibler does not work in a car wash, he searches for alligators in Manat. He had previously sought out dangerous reptiles, but the Florida Commission for the Conservation of Fish and Wild Animals 5 years ago asked him to become an alligator hunter under a contract.

"I like it. As long as I can, I will continue to do this,” says Hibler. The Alligator in the State program has received 12 alligator complaints. 759 of the reptiles were found, eliminating the threat.

The most alligator incidents were in Orlando. Here found 235 reptiles. In the second and third places are Sarasota and Tampa. They found 176 and 174 alligator, respectively.

Interestingly, not a single Florida city south of West Palm Beach was on the list of cities where dangerous reptiles were found. To catch an alligator, hunters like Hibler need a special permit. They receive it by email and begin the “hunt.”
