The "Putin's daughter" fund spent 6 million dollars in 2015 year

Expenses of the National Intellectual Development Foundation, owned by Katerina Tikhonova, whom the media call “Vladimir Putin’s daughter,” in 2015 amounted to almost 411,5 million rubles (about $6 million).

Despite the economic crisis in Russia, this amount is almost one and a half times more than the year before, and 7 is more than the year's 2013.

As reported in the report of the fund Tikhonova, published by on the website of the Russian Ministry of Justice, the main costs went to targeted activities - more than 128 million rubles ($1,9 million). 60 million rubles ($900 thousand) were spent on maintaining the fund management apparatus.

According to reports, in 2015, Tikhonova’s foundation spent mainly money received from Russian organizations and citizens. Also, the Innopraktika company, of which the fund is a part, spent almost 7 million received from foreign citizens, international organizations and stateless persons.

Katerina Tikhonova is the director of the National Intellectual Development Foundation, which was established by Moscow University in 2012 and oversees the development project for the Scientific and Technological Valley of Moscow State University. In addition, Tikhonova heads the Center for National Intellectual Reserve of Moscow State University.

A number of international and Russian media outlets, including the Reuters news agency, call Katerina Tikhonov the daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied the agency’s information. Vladimir Putin himself went away from answering the question about Katerina Tikhonova.

VTB head Andrei Kostin in an interview with Bloomberg this week call Tikhonov daughter of Putin. The Guardian newspaper has included Tikhonov in the list of the most influential young people in Russia.
