Jews in the United States are demanding the dismissal of an anti-Israeli congresswoman

The Democratic-controlled House of Representatives on Wednesday will vote on a resolution condemning anti-Semitism and religious fanaticism — in response to a statement by a new Congress Congress — an American of Somali origin who criticized Israel in a manner that many considered offensive, writes “Voice of America".

“The resolution solves only part of the problem. She continues to make anti-Semitic remarks and comments. Those are her beliefs,” Scalise of the House said. “So if they are really serious about solving the problem, Nancy Pelosi should remove her from the Foreign Relations Committee.”

Recall that Omar recently characterized those in the United States who are in support of Israel as individuals showing "loyalty to a foreign country." Earlier, she provoked the anger of representatives of both parties, expressing doubts about the financial power of the US-Israel Public Relations Committee.

“It's all about the children of Benjamin,” Omar wrote on Twitter, referring to the portrait of Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of the United States, depicted on the 100 dollar bill.

She then apologized and joined in voting for a resolution condemning anti-Semitism.

Recall that the US-Israel Public Relations Committee does not make donations to the election of legislators, but many members of the organization do it on an individual basis.

The resolution, which will be voted on Wednesday, stresses that “the myth of dual loyalty ... for centuries has been used to marginalize and persecute the Jewish people as a“ people without a state ”.”
