Another US state legalized marijuana
The authorities of the US state of Oregon adopted a law on the legalization on its territory of the use of marijuana for preventive purposes.
Thus, Oregon became the fourth US state to decriminalize the use of this plant for personal use. The law provides for the right of individuals older than 21 to hold two grams of the drug, but smoking outside the premises is still prohibited.
From the beginning of next year, marijuana will be available in special stores. At the same time at the federal level, the use of marijuana remains illegal. Previously, similar measures were taken in the states of Alaska, Colorado and Washington. By the year 2016, preventive use of marijuana is expected to be legalized in Arizona, California, Massachusetts and Nevada.
