Another US state recognized the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
The corresponding proclamation refers to the laws of Ukraine and the United States.
In the US, the state of Louisiana recognized the Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine as a genocide. Reports about it in Facebook Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.
Following more than a dozen American states, Louisiana Governor John Bell Edwards issued a proclamation on the 85 anniversary of the Holodomor.
The special proclamation refers to the laws of Ukraine regarding the recognition of the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people and the corresponding US legislation.

October 3 US Senate 2018 by Unanimous Decision recognized the Holodomor genocide Ukrainian people. The resolution states that the Senate “supports the continued efforts of the people of Ukraine to ensure democratic principles, create a free market economy and full respect for human rights so that Ukraine can realize its potential as an important strategic partner of the United States in this region of the world, and to express the will of his people. "
12 December both houses US Congress recognized the genocide of the Ukrainian people Holodomor 1932-1933's.
