Jackie Ivanko faced criticism for agreeing to sing at Trump's inauguration

16-year-old American singer Jackie Ivanko, who will sing the US anthem at the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, has come under criticism because of this decision.

Part of the criticism in her address is connected with the sister of the girl. 18-year-old Juliet Ivanko announced in 2015 that she is a transgender, and now her family is suing the school for the right of Juliet to use the women's toilet. Users on social networks draw Jackie’s attention to the fact that the elected vice president, Mike Pence, being the governor of Indiana, made decisions permitting discrimination against LGBT people. The girl is accused of the fact that it is impossible to support her sister’s struggle for her rights and sing at the inauguration of Trump, who chose Pens as his companion, at the same time.

But the girl considers her performance non-political, she said, she does it for the country, and not because of ideological convictions, so she is sure that there is absolutely no contradiction in the performance of Trump’s inauguration hymn and support for Juliet’s struggle for her rights.

Many of Jackie’s colleagues refused to perform at the inauguration, among them producer and composer David Foster, whom Jackie calls his “musical father”.

The headquarters of the elected president joined the conflict. Trump said in his microblog Twitter that after information that Jackie will sing at the inauguration, the sales of her CDs have increased dramatically.

Juliet supports the decision of her sister, although now she is also not easy. She faces misunderstanding among her classmates, the trial is also not easy for her.
