MGU and two Israeli universities hit the top hundred
According to Shanghai index for 2015 year (Academic Ranking of World Universities), one of the leading institutions in the field of educational appraisal, Moscow State University, the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Haifa Technion are in the 100 list of the best higher education institutions in the world.
Hebrew University is located on the 67 place in this ranking, which is three steps higher than in the previous year. The technion hit the 77 place (one step higher than last year’s result). MSU took the place 86.
The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot turned out to be in the 149 place, although in the 2012 and 2013 years it occupied 93 and 92 places, respectively.
Tel Aviv University remained in the category from 151 to 200 place (169 place in 2015 year).
The first five places were taken: Harvard University, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Berkeley University and the University of Cambridge. Oxford University was ranked tenth.
