Depardieu banned entry to Ukraine
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) decided to ban entry to the territory of the country to Gerard Depardieu.
According to the speaker of the Security Service of Ukraine, Elena Gitlyanskaya, a French actor with Russian citizenship is banned from entering Ukraine for a period of five years.
“The SBU decided to ban Depardieu from entering for a period of five years based on a proposal from the Ministry of Culture,” Gitlyanskaya said.
The representative of the SBU noted that the relevant documents were transferred by her office to the State Border Service of Ukraine for inclusion in the database.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine sent to the SBU a list of five hundred Russian cultural figures who expressed support for the violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. The list also featured a French actor Gerard Depardieu.
