What is known about a missing girl from Wisconsin whose parents are found dead

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said that law enforcement still has no suspects in the case, but they believe that Jamie, 13-year-old, is in danger, writes USA Today.

The girl disappeared after her parents were found dead in the family home. Now, investigators from Barron County, the Wisconsin Criminal Investigation Unit, the FBI, and the National Center for Missing Children are searching for her. Authorities received more 400 calls regarding Jamie's disappearance.

What happened?

The Barron County Sheriff's Department received a call to the rescue service around 1 at 1 am on October 15. When the police arrived at the scene, they found that Jamie’s parents were killed in their home, located about 130 km northeast of Minneapolis, and the girl herself was missing.

The Barron County Sheriff's Department and the FBI said they currently have no suspects, and they have no indication of what happened to Jamie. They conducted her searches in the house and the surrounding area, using unmanned aerial vehicles and infrared equipment, and also contacted the girl’s friends and relatives, but could not locate her whereabouts.

What led to the death of Jamie's parents?

56-year-old James and 46-year-old Denise Kloss died of gunshot wounds on Monday morning. Police are investigating the murder, but no further details were reported on the incident.
