What if you missed a solar eclipse

The long-awaited solar eclipse can create the biggest traffic jam in US history.
“We've been preparing for this for months,” said Matt Gibert, assistant director of communications for the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Gibert is part of a task force consisting of representatives from the 14 states, whose main task is to prepare for the deadlock on the highway.
He said that in Kentucky and in Oregon, there was a "marked" increase in traffic in certain areas. In addition, cloudy weather in Missouri can facilitate traffic and not collect a large number of people willing to watch the solar eclipse.
An estimated 200 of millions of people are on their way to watch the first total solar eclipse in the last 99 years.
2,2 million visitors are expected in South Carolina, 1,8 million in Tennessee and up to 1,2 million in Missouri. Gibert's data were obtained from counting the points booked for rent, as well as from the number of hotel rooms and the size of the tent camp.

In fact, really, the next eclipse of the sun will occur in 7 years - April 8 2024, and it will be better than today. For the state of New York, the sun will be darkened by almost 90%.
"But people can go to Rochester or Buffalo or Niagara Falls and see the total eclipse," said Jackie Faherty, an astrophysicist at the American Museum of Natural History.
If you miss in 2024, you'll need dog sleds to see the next eclipse on March 20, 2033 - in northern Alaska.
