Chicago, New York and Washington lead the rat ranking
The largest population of rats lives in Chicago, New York and Washington.
Orkin has created an annual list of 50 cities with the largest number of rats. The company itself has been combating pests since 1901, and has not diminished over such a long period of work.
In compiling the rating, employees were guided by the number of requests for disinfection of premises from rodents and insects in each city.
For the second year in a row, Chicago leads the list, and for the first time New York hit the second place in terms of rodent distribution, and we are not talking about the New York subway, which is simply teeming with them. According to NBC, in 2015, 9 314 rat complaints were received by city residents in New York City. This year the record is likely to be broken.
