British Foreign Office summoned the Russian ambassador to London

A diplomat is requested to be clarified in connection with the flight of two Russian Tu-95 bombers over the English Channel. In the British ministry they say that the flight of Russian aircraft violated civilian air traffic in the area.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Royal Air Force aircraft were scrambled on Wednesday to intercept two Russian strategic bombers. For about half an hour they accompanied the Tu-95 in the strait area. At the same time, as the publication notes, the bombers did not invade the airspace of the kingdom, writes Ekho Moskvy.
