Boxer Lennox Lewis thinks about Russian citizenship
Former absolute world heavyweight boxing champion, Briton Lennox Lewis, is thinking about obtaining Russian citizenship. This was announced by the president of the promotion company "World of Boxing" and vice-president of the Russian Professional Boxing Federation Andrei Ryabinsky.
“Lennox Lewis was so inspired by our country, and he liked the people so much that he also thought about obtaining Russian citizenship, like Roy Jones,” Ryabinsky wrote on his Twitter microblog.
“Indeed, we had a conversation on this topic. I don't know how serious this is. But Lennox is thinking about it,” Ryabinsky clarified in an interview with TASS.
50-year-old Lewis is the latest absolute world heavyweight champion. During his career, he has won boxers such as Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Vitali Klitschko in the ring.
