Apple stopped transferring payments to Sberbank
The developers of applications for OS X and iOS received notifications from Apple that they would not be able to receive partner payments to accounts in the Russian Sberbank.
“The bank you specified in iTunes Connect has come under the direct effect of restrictions,” the notification said. “As a result, we are forced to suspend any payments until you specify a bank account that is not subject to restrictions.”
The reason for stopping the payments was the sanctions of the European Commission and the administration of the US president against Russia. To get money, developers need to specify in the account the account of another bank.
As reported, Apple closed access to its website for developers and the App Store for residents of Crimea. Also, Google, Paypal, edX, HP, Dell, Blizzard, Steam and many others stopped working with Crimea. The relationship ended after the decree of US President Barack Obama to stop any services for the "Crimean region of Ukraine".
Earlier Apple announced the traditional autumn event related to the iPhone, the press sent out invitations to 9 September.
The presentation will take place in San Francisco, in a hall that can accommodate up to seven thousand guests, indicating serious news from the Apple Corporation, writes The Verge.
