According to expert estimates, there are more than 400 online stores operating in RuNet that use the word “apple” in their names. In 2015, their total turnover will be 15-20 billion rubles.
The claims of the corporation are caused by the online store apl-msk.ru, which is also redirected to the domains apples-msk.ru, apple-msk.ru, apple.msk.ru, applemsk.ru, apples.msk.ru, applesmsk.ru .
The word “apple” is used by about 400 Russian online stores in the domain zones .ru, .su, net, .bis, .org, .info and .com, said Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline-Analytics. According to him, most of them trade in “gray” goods, that is, imported into the country without paying customs duties.
