Free mini-libraries began to appear in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They are lockers where anyone can put a book and take to read those that are there. Here is such a simple exchange, writes Big Picture.
Local resident Jessica McClard became interested in what is the secret of their popularity. 41-year-old woman said that, in her opinion, such selfless actions create an opportunity for the manifestation of good neighborliness and the identification of social problems that do not disappear, even if we do not face them every day. And then Jessica came up with the idea to go a little further and create Little free pantry (“Small free storeroom”).
She established the first storeroom near the Lutheran church. Her idea was very successful. Now the project has more than 10 thousands of subscribers in Facebook, and small storerooms appear in other places.

People filled the box instantly.
Peanut butter, jelly, feminine hygiene items and diapers are in great demand.
One of the boxes was located near the school, where they put the necessary things for schoolchildren.
Anyone can support the project. The little free pantry in two ways - either to put something in the already existing lockers, or to create your own little free pantry.
