Russian-speaking tourist spoke about the impression of New York: dirty, noisy and tasteless food

The author of the blog “Let's fly to America?” on the portal Yandex Zen spoke about his experience visiting the Big Apple. According to him, he always dreamed of visiting this city, but the reality impressed him unpleasantly.

“My impression of New York is all negatives (garbage, concrete all around, noise) and only one positive (salaries),” he wrote.

According to the author, it was not easy for him to get a visa, and the city itself as a result left mixed feelings for him. Moreover, he always dreamed of visiting the largest city in America - "because of the films, skyscrapers and the history of the city."

“On the one hand, it is the capital of the world (relatively speaking). Because here is Wall Street. The same street from the films where all the world banks and exchange trading centers are located.

You know. Stocks, bonds and things like that. And since all the money in the world is circulating here, then the prices here are appropriate,” writes the author.

Among the advantages that he noted are high salaries - from 5 thousand dollars. At the same time, prices here are also high - a single metro ticket costs $5.

Speaking about the downsides of New York, the author did not skimp on words.

The first thing he noted is dirty streets. The situation is especially not pleasing to the eye in the central part of the city, he claims. “Garbage is simply lying on the sidewalks and roads,” the author writes.

Very noisy subway – the second disadvantage that a Russian-speaking tourist writes about. “Because it is very old,” says the author. “And it often leaks and becomes moldy.” Our metro is still “polished” and sterile.”
