The Ohio police called the hero an eight-year-old boy who helped his older sister escape from a potential kidnapper.

The children traveled with their grandmother, 69-year-old Nita Korben, to the Atrium Medical Center. Coburn parked at the entrance to the hospital and got out of the car. According to the police, the children remained in the back seat.
After about 10 seconds after Korben got out of the car, 24-year-old Dalvir Singh jumped into the car and tried to drive with the children.

“The little boy opened the door to escape and the little girl wanted to jump out too, but the man grabbed the child by the sweatshirt,” police wrote on Facebook Friday. “Then her younger brother grabbed and pulled her away from the kidnapper, and they both fell out of the car while it was moving.”
10-year-old girl and a boy successfully escaped, but Coburn did not know about it, because, according to the police, she ran for the car on the opposite side. In her words, she clung to the car until she picked up speed, and she had to let her go.
The officers managed to stop Singh and hold up. He is accused of two cases of kidnapping, committing a serious crime and theft.

The Middletown Police Department said it would officially recognize the boy’s actions later.
“This little guy is a hero. There is no doubt about that,” Chief Rodney Matherspaugh said in a statement. “He pulled his sister out of the car without thinking about his own safety. It's incredible at his age."
Materspo also praised the two officers who stopped Singh.
