The FBI officers were hospitalized due to wooden sculptures.
Because of the gigantic wooden sculpture installed in the foyer of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Office (FBI) in Miami, Florida, 17 departmental employees fell ill.
This is evidenced by the documents received by the publication. Politico.
The FBI bought a work of art for $ 750 thousand from a famous wood sculptor, Ursula von Readingsvard. The tornado 5-meter structure, made of folded thuja, weighs almost 7 tons.
Shortly after installing the sculpture in the FBI 17 office, the organization’s employees reported a deterioration in their health. One of them complained of inflammation of the nasal mucosa and difficulty breathing and swallowing. The other has a swollen face, swollen lymph nodes and fever.
More than 10 people had to be hospitalized, one of them spent 11 days in the hospital. The cause of the disease, apparently, was an allergy to the tui sawdust from which the tornado was made.
The facility was temporarily wrapped in a tarpaulin, and then completely dismantled, which cost the FBI $ 412 thousand.
