Schools in San Francisco received threats following Los Angeles

Educational institutions within the San Francisco Unified School District received threats similar to those previously sent to schools in Los Angeles.

As Forum reported, on Tuesday more than a thousand educational institutions, enrolling almost 700 thousand children, were closed due to security threat, and schoolchildren were sent home.

In San Francisco, however, the schools did not close because the law enforcement authorities considered the threats implausible. This was reported in the management of the United School District on Thursday.

They did the same in New York, where they also reported on terrorist threats received against local schools.

San Francisco officials said “immediate inspections” were conducted at the schools, which were coordinated with local and federal law enforcement.

Since nothing suspicious was found, it was decided not to close the school district. Nothing threatens students and teachers at the moment.

Be that as it may, it is reported that the number of police officers patrolling school districts will be increased.

San Francisco education worker Richard Carranza said that five employees from different schools in the county received e-mail threats with e-mail. In addition, according to him, similar threats, including the content of the letters, were received in Dallas, Miami and several other US cities.

In his address to the Americans on Thursday, President Barack Obama assured citizens that intelligence “no specific and reliable information” about possible attacks on the United States during the upcoming holidays.
