New Yorker arrested for beating a puppy
A man from Westchester County (New York) was arrested for beating a puppy.
According to police, Adam Jeffers from Ossining hit several times, including the head of an 7-month-old puppy terrier named Ocho, writes NBC.
The man was arrested and accused of harming the animal after witnesses reported that they had seen him holding a puppy and kicked him.
Employees of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) found swelling on his head and abrasions on his face in Ocho. They also found old wounds on the animal.
In addition, the SPCA received a video confirming the witness stories. After that, the arrest of Jeffers was authorized.
Ocho received veterinary care and is currently recovering in one of the SPCA centers. After that, the puppy will be available for admission to the new family.
