In the evening of September 26, Kiev time, explosions began at the ammunition depot of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine near the town of Kalinovka, Vinnitsa region.
As of the evening of September 27 local time, more than 30 thousands of people were evacuated, the population is being transported from hazardous areas, reports State Service for Emergency Situations of Ukraine.

The explosions caused a fire in the warehouse, there is a risk of ignition of the nearby forest. Helicopters were involved in extinguishing the fire, the danger of throwing fire to the forest was reduced, but it was not yet possible to extinguish the fire completely.
As a result of the accident, two people were injured, they were hospitalized, there are no data on the dead.
The explosions of shells led to severe destruction in nearby settlements.

Advisor to the President of Ukraine Yuri Biryukov wrote on his page in Facebookthat the cause of the explosions could be a diversion carried out with the help of a drone.
“A soldier from one of the posts managed to report a strange sound. A few seconds later, explosions began in the open area. The perimeter was securely guarded, so it looked like a drone. The SBU tried to intercept. They say, unofficially, that someone was even detained the day before. But someone broke through,” he wrote.
