An explosion thundered near the US Embassy in China
On July 26 thundered an explosion near the US Embassy in China in the morning.
In the photographs, which eyewitnesses post on social networks, you can see police cars that surrounded the embassy building; puffs of smoke rise over the scene, writes “Today".
It later became known that Chinese law enforcement authorities detained an 26-year-old man on suspicion of involvement in the explosion. Among the victims - only the detainee himself, who was hospitalized with injuries to his hands, according to police, a man blew up a squib near the embassy.
The detainee by the name of Jiang comes from the Inner Mongolia region, allegedly motivated by the fact that he was denied a US visa before what happened.
The representative of the embassy said that there were no injuries among the staff of the diplomatic mission; after the incident, the visa section of the American embassy briefly suspended work.
