Ukraine collects signatures for the appointment of Saakashvili as Prime Minister

The petition addressed to the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, demanding that the governor of the Odessa region, Mikhail Saakashvili, be appointed head of the Cabinet of Ministers is rapidly gaining momentum.

As of today, September 4, on 11.15 of the day (Kyiv time), 7000 Ukrainians have subscribed to the document.

Two hours later, the petition gathered 8113 signatures.

In two hours, the number of signatures increased by more than a thousand.

Petition was posted on the site online petitions 1 September. In order for it to be accepted for consideration, Ukrainians must put 25 thousands of electronic signatures under it.

Earlier, in an interview with Channel 5, Saakashvili said that he could not imagine himself as Prime Minister of Ukraine. Also during the broadcast, he harshly criticized the Ukrainian government on the issue of reforms and accused the central authorities of sabotaging the changes.
