The 9 of May on Red Square in Moscow hosted a military parade to commemorate the 74 anniversary of the Victory in World War II.

13,6 of thousands of people and 130 units of military equipment took part in it. This year, for the first time, women soldiers of the Military Academy of Aerospace Defense, cadets of the Investigative Committee Corps and cadets of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were involved in the parade. The technical innovations were the Aurus cars, as well as the recently adopted AK-12 assault rifles, the website says The Kremlin.

It was planned that during the parade in Moscow over the Red Square will fly strategic aviation aircraft (Tu-160, Tu-22М3 and Tu-95MS), front-line bombers Su-24M and Su-34, Mi-28H helicopters, Ka-52 and Su-24 helicopters, Mi-XNUMXH, and Ka-XNUMX bombers, Mi XNUMX and other equipment, but the air part of the parade was canceled due to adverse weather conditions.

Along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the honorary guest of the parade, the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, were on the podium.

The event was also attended by Hollywood actor Stephen Seagal, who received Russian citizenship in 2016. In addition, he now holds the position of special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia for Russian-American relations. The actor was at the event with his wife, writes RIA News.
