In Moscow airports, it was forbidden to sit on the floor and listen to music without headphones

Deputies of the Moscow Regional Duma supplemented the Code on Administrative Offenses with an article according to which passengers of Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports cannot sit on the floor and steps, listen to music without headphones, and also lie down on chairs and benches, writes TJournal. At the Vnukovo airport, new rules are not yet valid.

According to the new rules, airports are also prohibited:

• Put the bag on the seat of the chair in the waiting room or lower it to the escalator step;
• Run on escalators and travelators, even if the passenger is late;
• Walk on off escalators;
• Move around the airport on rollers, scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, hoverboards and "riding on animals";
• To be at the airport in “foul-smelling” clothes or with foul-smelling baggage;
• To use the airport as a hotel, that is, to be on its territory for more than a day: if the passenger does not have a ticket or is not settled in the hotel on the airport territory;
• Change clothes in the toilets, take a shower or wash clothes;
• Carry children in luggage carts;
• Create a "crush" in the areas of registration and inspection, stepping over the red line;
• Leave a cat or dog unattended.

In case of violation, individuals face a fine of 100 ($ 1.6) to 500 rubles ($ 8), officials from one ($ 160) to two thousand rubles ($ 32), legal entities - from two ($ 32) to four thousand rubles ($ 64).

So far, the rules apply only to the airports of Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky. The deputies explained that they proposed similar innovations to Vnukovo representatives, but have not yet received a final decision from the administration.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport sent an official comment to ForumDaily: “Domodedovo Airport carries out its activities strictly following the requirements of the law, and intends to adhere to this position in the future.
