A car crashed into Biden's motorcade: the president was giving an interview a few meters from the incident
On the evening of December 17, a car crashed into a parked SUV that was part of US President Joe Biden's motorcade as the president and first lady Jill Biden were leaving his campaign headquarters in Delaware, reports USAToday.

Neither the president nor the first lady were injured.
The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. as Biden and the first lady were leaving the Biden-Harris 2024 headquarters in Wilmington.

Journalists traveling with the Bidens said the first lady had just wished them “happy holidays” and got into the presidential car. Moments after the president answered a question from reporters, a silver-and-copper sedan with Delaware license plates crashed into an SUV that appeared to be guarding the president's motorcade.
He crashed into the side of a black U.S. Secret Service SUV.
When there was a loud bang, Biden muttered, "Wow," and the president looked surprised.
The sedan attempted to drive through the closed intersection before Secret Service officers swung into action and surrounded the vehicle with guns drawn, ordering the driver to put his hands in the air. The man followed the agent's commands.

Biden was led into his car. The motorcade left the scene at 20:09 p.m. and returned to Biden's residence 11 minutes later.
All the circumstances of the incident have not yet been disclosed, but it has been announced that it is not a case of an “intentional collision.”
