US authorities have reported a way to hack the iPhone without the help of Apple
A US court postponed the FBI hearing against Apple, after a certain “third party” demonstrated to the US Department of Justice a potential way to hack a terrorist’s iPhone without Apple’s help.
The other day, the Federal District Court for the Central District of California granted the US Department of Justice's request to suspend consideration of the case and postpone the hearing scheduled for March 22 for an indefinite period. The reason - law enforcement agencies have found a way to unlock the San Bernardino terrorist’s iPhone without Apple’s help.
Allegedly, the FBI’s iPhone hacking tool was provided by a “third party”, information about which, of course, is not disclosed. The ministry’s statement said that the method found did not necessarily guarantee the successful execution of the operation, so the agency still has to check its effectiveness. The deadline for notification of the results of hacking the iPhone appointed 5 April.
