In Georgia, the deputy sheriff arrested his ex-wife for posting on Facebook

In Washington County, Georgia, deputy sheriff Corey King arrested the ex-wife Ann King and his girlfriend for a few hours for writing a status about her ex-husband to Facebook, CNN.

The incident occurred in 2015 year. The woman published a status in which she expressed disappointment that the ex-husband refused to bring medicine to his children on the way to work.

“That moment when everyone in your house is sick with the flu and you ask your children’s father to bring them (not me) Motrin and Tylenol, and he refuses,” the woman wrote.

In Anna's girlfriend comments, Susan Hines wrote:

“POS (abusive abbreviation - Ed.) Give me an hour and check your mailbox. I will be glad to fill this shortage. ”

Now a woman sues her ex-husband and his colleague for violating her constitutional rights.

According to Anna King, her ex-husband asked her to remove the post, and when she refused, he posted a screenshot of the correspondence on his Facebook page. He then wrote a statement about the incident, and by his own admission, asked for an arrest warrant because of her “derogatory statements”.

The arrest warrant stated:

“The subject, without authority and in order to discredit the other, made a false statement, which is aimed at inciting hatred or ridicule, which can provoke a violation of calm.”

The next day, a Washington County Supreme Court judge issued an arrest warrant for Anna King and her friend Hines.

Women were charged with “criminal discredit.” They spent 4 hours in prison before being released on bail of $ 1000. At the hearing, the judge ruled that there were no grounds for the arrest, and the case was closed.

Now Anna King has filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband and wants to receive compensation for the incurred penalty costs and legal fees.
