In Alabama, an unknown person shot people at McDonald's: 1 dead, 4 wounded

Shooting took place in Alabama at the McDonald's restaurant, located near the university building in Auburn. One person died, four were injured, writes Fox News.

The shooting took place around 2: 30 in the morning on West Magnolia Avenue. A 20-year-old man died from a gunshot wound, police said.

Four other victims, including an Auburn University student, were injured of varying degrees of severity. 16-year-old was taken to hospital in critical condition. Three other victims - aged 17, 19 and 21 - were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Militiamen believe that the incident was not an occasional shooting.

“We received information that there was an argument before the shootout, which led to such consequences and injuries,” the police said.

The administration of the University of Auburn wrote on Twitter that there were no signs of threats to campus residents. Earlier, the university reported that the suspect remains at large.

In turn, the police issued a press release in which nothing was reported about the suspect.
