US President Donald Trump said that Russia should stop destabilizing the situation in Ukraine and provide support to the hostile, he said, regimes of Syria and Iran, writes Air Force

“We call on Russia to stop its destabilizing activities in Ukraine and elsewhere, and to stop supporting hostile regimes, including Syria and Iran,” Trump said in a speech at Krasiński Square in Warsaw.

“And instead [call on Russia] to join the community of responsible nations in our fight against common enemies and in defense of civilization itself,” Trump added.

Prior to this, he held a meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda, at which he promised to fight “Russia’s destabilizing behavior.”

Trump arrived in Poland ahead of the G7 summit, which will be held in Hamburg, Germany. The summit starts on July XNUMX, and Trump's first meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled for the same day.

The fact that the meeting of the two leaders will take place and will be held in the format of a separate conversation became known on Tuesday, July 4. As the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said, a “full-fledged sit-down meeting” is planned, and not contact “on the feet.”

According to Peskov, Trump and Putin will discuss the fight against international terrorism, the topics of Syria and Ukraine, as well as the “disarmament sphere.”

The Kremlin representative called the main goal of the meeting the establishment of a working dialogue, which is “vital for the whole world in terms of increasing the effectiveness of resolving the critical mass of conflicts and problems that is growing day by day.”
