Over 13 years (2002-2015), terrorists of the ISIS group (Islamic State) killed about 33 thousand people. More than 41 thousand people were injured as a result of the attacks. This information is provided by the newspaper washingtonpost.com.

According to the publication, the Islamic State is responsible for 13% of terrorist attacks worldwide.

These figures include not only acts of terrorism committed by ISIS. We are talking about the acts of the predecessor groups, who organized the attacks before the establishment of the official organization of terrorists.

University of Maryland professor Erin Miller notes that before April 2013, almost all attacks (95%) by Islamic State predecessors did not take place in Iraq. And after this date, the main terrorist organization “Islamic State” announced the expansion of its activities.

New research shows that ISIS has a different strategy than its allied terrorists. Islamic State attacks tend to be more merciless—about 74,7% of ISIS attacks were fatal. Most often, the report says, terrorists use suicide and hostage-taking tactics.
