The USA will accept up to hundred thousand refugees in two years

The United States is ready to place on its territory in 2016 85 thousands of refugees and increase their number by 15 thousands of people in 2017. About this, as reported The Washington Post, during a visit to Berlin, US Secretary of State John Kerry said after talks with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

As it became known, most of the additional 15 thousands of refugees, whose obligations for the deployment of Washington took over, are citizens of Syria. According to Kerry, there is a possibility of further increasing commitments on the number of refugees, but Congress must approve the costs of resettlement. This year, the program cost is 1,1 billion dollars.

September 10 President Barack Obama ordered to take ten thousand Syrian refugees. During the four and a half years that have passed since the beginning of the armed conflict in Syria, one and a half thousand refugees found refuge in the United States.

Earlier it was reported that up to ten thousand refugees from Syria and Iraq are ready to accept Canada.
