The total wealth of the richest Americans is two trillion and 340 billion dollars, which exceeds the GDP of countries such as Italy or India.

The list always arouses great interest among the public, not only because of the size of personal capital, but also because it indicates where American society is moving in terms of development. For example, this year clearly marked the growing influence of the high-tech industry.

The founder and head of Microsoft, Bill Gates, has been at 22 for the past year topping the prestigious list. True, its investment share in Microsoft accounts for only 13% of personal capital, which is now 76 billion dollars.

The world-famous investor Warren Buffett - by as many as 14 billions less, but this did not prevent him from gaining a foothold on the second line in the Forbes list. Well, closes the top three Larry Ellison, the president of the company Oracle, which produces software, has financial assets in the amount of 47,5 billions of dollars.

In general, the leaders of the high-tech industry every year in the American “Table of Ranks” are getting higher and higher. For the first time in the top ten were the founders of "Amazon" and "Facebook." Jeff Bezos, who runs Amazon, ranked fourth with 47 billions of dollars in personal wealth. The head of the company "Facebook" Mark Zuckerberg placed in the list of "Forbes" on the seventh line, with a capital of more than 40 billion.

It is also interesting that this year it was harder to get into this elite company than all the previous ones: even the outsiders who close the list have at least one billion and seven hundred million dollars in their accounts. This is 150 million more than last year. By the way, “121 Number” is none other than the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

True, the four and a half billion dollars in which Forbes estimated Trump's fortune is much less than the ten billion that the candidate himself hinted at in the press. Still 145 American billionaires did not fall into the prestigious list, - if I may say so, - because of the "lack" of money.
