California's separatists open “embassy” in Russia

The Yes California Independence Campaign and the Anti-Globalization Movement in Russia agreed to open the world's first California "embassy" in Moscow.
The opening ceremony will take place on December 18, journalists have already been invited to it, reports The Moscow Times.
Russia became the first state to open California’s “embassy” because it’s in this country, in Yekaterinburg, since September 2016, the leader of “Yes California” Luiz Marinelli has been living.
He considers this a big step towards the independence of California, because, in fact, it has already been recognized in Russia.

At the same time, the president of the Anti-Globalist Movement in Russia, Alexander Ionov, stated that “this embassy is not official, it is a human embassy between the residents of Russia and California.” He considers the opening of the “embassy” a step towards expanding cultural and economic ties between Russia and one of the US states, despite the sanctions imposed by the States against the Kremlin.
Marinelli, who is teaching English in Yekaterinburg, was looking for a place for the “embassy” of California in Russia from mid-October, Ionov actively helped him in this, the collaboration with which they started in September.
Recall a number of activists in California were in favor of holding a state independence referendum after Donald Trump won the US presidential election. According to preliminary data, the vote is scheduled for 2019 year.
