Russian and US planes 'grappled' in the skies over the Baltic: what happened
US and Russian planes collided in the skies over the Baltic. Thus, a Russian Su-27 fighter intercepted an RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft.

«Columnist» with reference to the Russian media and the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the plane was approaching the Russian border.
Su-27 was raised to intercept the sky, after which the US plane departed from the border areas.

Russian experts have already justified Russian aggression on the border, calling it “preparation for a big war.”
“Our airspace and territorial waters are 12 miles, that is, about 22 kilometers. The range of the reconnaissance system is somewhere up to 500 kilometers - they can monitor our territory. In general, this is due to the fact that the world is approaching war, a big war,” said Konstantin Sivko, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences.
This is not the first such incident. Earlier, the American reconnaissance aircraft RC-135V / W Rivet Joint was intercepted by a Russian fighter over the Black Sea off the coast of the Crimea.
