Beginning October 1, USCIS is waiving the $85 biometric service fee when filing Form I-539. Applicants who file Form I-539 on or after October 1 do not need to pay for biometric services.
If you filed or will file Form I-539 by October 1, you will be given an appointment at the Application Support Center to submit your biometrics and pay for them. In most cases, after October 1, Form I-539 applicants will not need to submit biometrics. However, if USCIS determines that biometrics are required, the applicant will receive a notification with appointment information.
