Russian actor will play a key role in the cult Hollywood film

A new film from the Fantastic Beasts series will feature a Russian actor. He will play a key role in the spin-off of the movie franchise about a wizard boy. Writes about it Esquire.

Alexander Kuznetsov will appear in the third film of the Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore franchise and the 11th in the Harry Potter universe.

The actor will play Helmut, one of the key characters in the prequel. Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore's Secrets was directed by David Yates and JK Rowling worked on the script. The Russian actor worked hand in hand with such famous Hollywood stars as Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne, Mads Mikkelsen, Katherine Waterston and Ezra Miller.

Helmut Weiss is a wizard, one of the original twelve Aurors of the Magical Control Congress for North America. News that the Russian would appear in the film franchise began to appear at the end of 2020.

According to director Alexander Molochnikov, Kuznetsov was supposed to play in his new theatrical production, but refused to participate, since he left for the shooting of the Harry Potter prequel.

In the story, Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) learns that the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) seeks to seize power over the wizarding world. He cannot stop him alone and trusts the magozoologist Newt Salamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead a team of wizards and a Muggle baker.
