Rapper Timati became a co-owner of the former Starbucks coffee shops in Russia

Restaurateur Anton Pinsky, singer and businessman Timati and Sindika company of Senator Arsen Kanokov will become the new owners of the former coffee houses of the American Starbucks network in Russia. At the same time, they are prohibited from using the brand, products and technologies. In fact, only locations are transferred to the property, and not all of them. Writes about it Forbes.

In March, Starbucks announced it would stop deliveries to Russia and close its coffee shops. And already in May the company decided to leave the Russian market.

Pinsky said that he offered to buy the network back in March.

“Judging by the fact that we are now closing the deal, we made the most correct offer,” he said.

Pinsky has been developing restaurant and club projects for more than 15 years. He is also a partner of restaurateur Arkady Novikov, together they have opened dozens of projects in Russia and abroad.

According to well-known restaurateur Alexander Sysoev, Pinsky will take over most of the Starbucks locations and equip his new chain of coffee houses there.

He clarified that Pinsky will acquire not outlets in shopping centers, but "the most interesting places."

According to Russian media, the deal will include lease rights to the area of ​​Starbucks coffee houses with renovation, but without the possibility of using the products and technologies of the American company, and premises in the Pushkino Park shopping center (owned).

Among other things, the new owner of the network will have to rebrand it.

Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline-analytics, believes that the amount of the deal, namely the purchase of the Russian business of Starbucks, is unlikely to exceed 700 million rubles ($12 million).

The Starbucks network has worked in Russia for 15 years, it has 130 establishments.
