You can not leave: as those who refused to evacuate, expect a hurricane Irma. PHOTO REPORT.
Hurricane Irma, once again intensifying to the fourth category, is approaching Miami, according to forecasts, it will hit the city around noon EST on September 10. Thousands of residents left their homes, fearing the elements. As seen from photo essay ForumDaily, after the evacuation of Miami looks like a ghost town.
But despite the threat, many residents of the city decided to stay in their homes and with their families. We collected a few stories of such people.
This is what the streets of Miami looked like on the morning of August 10.

Those who decided to meet a hurricane in Miami had several options: stay at home or go to the shelter.
The residents of the city remaining at home on the eve of the hurricane did not get bored: they scored and sealed the windows, cleaned things from the balconies, and in addition, they decided to spend a waiting period with delicious food, relax and devote time to themselves.
“We prepared for the apocalypse - we taped up the windows, removed the furniture from the apartment, packed the car, bought a lot of water and stew, the apartments and beaches are empty, most were evacuated, and the hurricane is passing by... So we will start work on Monday,” he wrote on his page on the social network Facebook, the head of the Migronis company, Anatoly Letaev.
“Staying at home in Aventura is a red zone. We sealed the windows with tape, and at the peak we will sit on the landing with flashlights. We pray for Florida,” Svetlana Balubina wrote on the social network.
“Everything is calm in Delray Beach. There are few cars. Uber works and arrives quickly. Multi-level parking lots have been full for a long time. In the evening we expect the wind to increase,” said Sergei Tarasevich.
Svetlana Romanova, in anticipation of the hurricane, decided to pamper her with seven pancakes.
Also in the city had to stay journalists. who covered the situation in the city at the time of the arrival of Irma.
One of them is journalist Mike Seidel. Covering bad weather due to the approaching hurricane turned out to be very difficult and dangerous - a man with a microphone was literally blown away by the wind, making it impossible to speak.
One of the reporters decided on himself to check the strength of the wind from the hurricane.
Some residents of Miami chose to hide from the hurricane in shelters. Judging by the photos, everyone was looking for entertainment to his liking: photographing, talking, reading, playing, sleeping, etc.
There were also those brave souls who, on the eve of the arrival of the hurricane, decided to make photo shoots on the empty streets of Miami.
And some even got a guest - a lizard on the window of a building on the 30th floor.
In St. Augustine, Florida, not only humans, but also birds are waiting for a hurricane.
Meanwhile, the weather in Florida is getting worse.
In Key West, weather forecasters recorded gusts of wind speeds of 146 km per hour, and at Fort Lauderdale - 114 km per hour. Social network users also publish photos of what is happening outside the window from various coastal cities in Florida. Here are some pictures:
