The head of the press service of SCAT airline Victoria Ulyanova said: “The DV742 plane, operating the Astana-Aktau flight, took off on schedule and landed at Aktau airport. Disembarkation of passengers and unloading of baggage took place as usual, after which maintenance of the aircraft began. During maintenance, a spontaneous fire occurred; the causes of the incident are currently being clarified.”
According to the schedule on the website of Aktau airport, the plane took off from Astana to 16.40 and landed in Aktau to 18.18.
