Utah couple brutally murdered in Mexico in front of a child

The couple from Utah, who did not stop at a police checkpoint in Mexico, were mercilessly shot in front of their 12-year-old son.

52-year-old Paul Nielsen, 43-year-old Janet Vazquez and their son Kevin drove from Acapulco to the beach resort when they were killed. The incident occurred on July 18 near 3: 30 in the morning, writes Fox News.

Their son was also injured, but the boy managed to survive, the child survived a nervous breakdown. After he was discharged from the hospital, he was taken to the city of Ziuatanejo, where he told law enforcement agencies about what had happened.

After the family's car did not stop at the checkpoint, they were forced to stop and ordered to leave the car. Then all the victims were shot in the head at close range, and the arrows took their car and drove away.

Some Mexican media claim that the family was shot dead by local police, which is connected to a checkpoint located in the city of Petatlan in the state of Guerrero. Some reports refer to armed militants.

A little later, state police discovered the bodies of their parents and a wounded boy. Relatives of Nielsen, who work with the US authorities to repatriate the bodies of the couple, told reporters that the deceased man always followed the rules, earning the nickname “The Perfect Sex”.

Nielsen was from Salt Lake County, Utah, his wife was a native of Puebla, Mexico. Relatives of the couple created a page on the portal GoFundMe to raise money for the son of the dead.
