An illegal immigrant, who was once deported from America by 15, is accused of having knocked down an 6-year-old boy while drunk and fled from the scene. He writes about it Fox News.
Konstantino Banda Acosta, a 38-year-old Mexican citizen, has been 15 deported from the country over the past 15 years. The last deportation took place on February 18.
He was arrested half an hour after the accident occurred. There was another illegal immigrant in the car as well.
The injured boy, Lennox Lake, was returning home from Disneyland with his family. They were a block from the house when the collision occurred. The boy was found in a broken car. He was not breathing and was unconscious, with several bloody wounds on his head.
According to doctors, the boy received a serious head injury and underwent two operations. The Lennox family expects complete recovery of the son.
“Right now he has some swelling and he can't open his eyes, so he's scared because he can't see,” his father, Ben-Lake, said. “I will make sure that he returns home quickly and is happy again.”
Banda Acosta received the right to go on bail of $ 100 thousand before the trial. In 2006, he was already attracted on charges of driving while intoxicated. Later, he was deprived of his driver's license even 3 times. He was accused in a case of violence against his ex-wife.
